Build an Osprey Nesting Platform
The Osprey feeds almost exclusively on fish and often nests on platforms or dead trees near lakes. Our goal is to work to establish platforms in a safe location for them.
Eagle Nesting Support (Protection, Not Building)
For the Bald Eagle, the focus is on protecting natural nesting sites
Create Fertilizer Buffer Zones
Work with farmers and lakeshore landowners in creating buffer zones to curtail fertilizer and herbicides from reaching streams and the lake.
Kids’ “Junior Lake Stewards” Day
Hands-on crafts, water experiments, and simple lessons about protecting lakes.
Shoreline Restoration Workshop
Demonstrate how to plant native vegetation and prevent erosion with a hands-on planting project.
Aquatic Invasive Species Awareness Event & Management
Help Lake residents and visitors recognize, prevent, and respond to Invasive Species that threaten water quality, recreation, and wildlife.
